I know it's a road bike but I couldn't let this pass without showing it to a few more people. Over the past few months our designers have teamed up with an impressive portfolio of artists to create some special bikes for Lance to ride during his return to cycling. The boys at Nike put together an unbelievable show at the Gallerie Emmanuel in Paris immediately following the final stage of this year's Tour. This bike was created by Damien Hirst for Lance to ride on the Champs Elysee. Check out the bike page to see a bit more. This thing showed up at Trek looking like the Ark of the Covenant in the last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Unreal craftsmanship.

Stunning. Utterly stunning.

Congrats to Trek on the six series Madone. One gripe...I bought the five series 5.2-last year. Now my "old bike" just doesn't cut it anymore. 43% more vertical complaince and 17% stiffer steering than my five series one year old bike?I love my ride and it is sweet but now I want a new one. How can they put out a bike that much better in one year? It is almost saying that they were negligent when they made the five series. But again it is a fine ride. 43% is not a small number for vertical compliance, and neither is 17% better, stiffer handling. I will have to try to finagle a new frame somehow.

We were lucky enough to attend the par-tay in Paris and see some beautiful bikes as well as watch a few shots being taken... we also met some of the cool designers in from WI, USA and really wish we could remember their names! Send along a note if you see this~
AMAZING bikes. Very inspiring-
